Zach Bond

Zach Bond, 36 of Kokomo died at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 4, 2023 at his residence. He was born on September 27, 1986 in Kokomo, Indiana to Dennis & Deborah (Matthews) Bond. Zach was brought into this world fighting for his breath, and went out the same way. He loved life and everything in it.

Zack lived in Lapel for 20 years before moving to Kokomo. He attended Heartland Church and Impact Life Church. Zack also attended Lapel High School. He loved playing video games, watching movies, and listening to music. Christian Rap and Christian Rock music were his favorite types of music. Zack loved the time he spent fishing with his dad, before his dads passing in 2018.

Zack is survived by his mother, Deborah of Tipton, a brother Joshua Bond, maternal grandmother, Helen Matthews of Tipton, along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by a stillborn brother, Michael Bond, his father, Dennis Bond, maternal grandfather, John E. “Smiley” Matthews, paternal grandparents, Bernard Bond and Phyllis Burke.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday, May 10,  at 1:00 p.m. at Young-Nichols Funeral Home. Rev. Bill Salsbery will preside. Burial will follow at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will also be on Wednesday from Noon until service time.
