Wendell W. BagleyWendell W. Bagley, 80, Tipton, lost his
courageous battle with cancer at 8:10 a.m. on Friday, July 19, 2013,
with the love of family around him. He was born on February 8,
1933, to Wilbur R. and Deva (Foulke) Bagley.Wendell married Cheryl Smith on June 20, 1956,
and she survives. He graduated from Jefferson High School in 1951.
Wendell was a sergeant in the Army during the Korean War and was a
member of the American Legion.He spent many years in sales, was a realtor,
worked construction, and was fortunate to spend his last few years
working closely with his grandsons in their family business.Wendell was loved by all who knew him. He had
a sensitive side, a natural kindness, and people would gravitate
toward him because it was easy to be around him. He had a comical
side and tried to incorporate humor in each day. Wendell had an
inventive mind and a never ending thirst for knowledge. He was a
polite gentlemen and always thoughtful and considerate of others,
even in his final days.Wendell had a great love of horses, crossword
puzzles, and playing the piano, which he played beautifully. He
enjoyed high school football and college basketball. He was most
proud and at his happiest when he was watching his grandkids at
whatever sport they were playing. It was always a comfort to know
he was watching. He had a deep love for his kids and grandkids.
Wendell was always there to lend a helping hand. Hell be forever
missed and the world was a much kinder place because he was in it.Surviving along with his wife, Cheryl, is one
son, Randy Bagley and wife, Tami, of Tipton; two daughters, Carisa
Ananias, Tipton and Dawn Langley and fiancé, Dion Myers,
Noblesville. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Brock Bagley
and wife, Casey, Carmel, Sydney Parton and Brenna Bagley, Tipton,
Brandi Barnes and fiancé, Trent Brown, Kokomo, Cody Barnes and
fiancée, Julie Gonzales, Cicero, Blake Langley and wife, Brittany,
Tipton and Tanner Langley and girlfriend, Marissa Rodriguez, Cicero.Wendell also had eight great-grandchildren and
several nieces and nephews who he loved very much. He is also
survived by lifelong friend, Jack Teter, Goldsmith.Wendell was preceded in death by his parents.
Also preceding him were his six siblings, Wilbur Bagley, Jr.,
Phyllis Illges, Bill Bagley, Cletus Bagley, Gene Bagley and Max
Bagley. Now the family is complete again.There will be no visitation. The family has
chosen a private family service with burial in Fairview Cemetery.
