Wanda J. LongWanda Jean Long, 78, Tipton, died at 12:26 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at Howard Regional Health System in Kokomo following an extended illness.  She was born in Fair Oaks, Arkansas on September 15, 1929 to Arthur "Jake" and Lola Ada (Wymer) Goodman Nance.  She married Glenn R. Long on April 16, 1945, and he preceded her in death.Wanda worked as a CNA at Tipton Hospital in the Physical Therapy Department.  She was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Elwood where she was a Sunday school teacher and was very active in various church groups.She is survived by six children: Ron Long and wife Debbie of Kokomo, Glenda Sue Brooks and husband John of Bloomington,  Judy Birge and fiancé' A.P. Ratcliff of Russiaville, David Long and wife Darlena of Tipton, Robert Long of Nicholasville, Kentucky, and Glenn Long and wife Kellie of Anderson.  Siblings include Art Goodman and wife Joann of Pinconning, Michigan, Jerry Goodman and wife Shirley of Boone, Michigan, Ruth Mader of Bridgeport, Michigan, Carol Long of Birch Run Michigan, Paulette Goodman of Birch Run, Michigan, and Bert Goodman and wife Peggy of St. Charles, Michigan.  Wanda has 19 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday April 25, at the First Assembly of God Church in Elwood with the Rev. Larry Metz presiding.  Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Tipton. Visitation will be from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday April 24 at  Young-Nichols Funeral Home and from 10:00 -11:00 a.m. Friday at the church.Memorial contributions may be made to First Assembly of God Missions Department, 415 North "A" Street Elwood, IN 46036.
