Violet L. Hensley

Violet L. HensleyViolet L. Hensley, 78 of Tipton died at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 23, 2015 at Miller's Merry Manor in Tipton.  She was born June 10, 1937 in Elwood, Indiana to James & Clara (Beck) Weismiller.  On December 28, 1958 she married Dale Hensley and he preceded her in death on April 7, 2007.Violet worked at Tipton Hospital in the lab.  She also worked for Tipton High School and Emanuel Lutheran School/Day Care as a cook.  Violet was a member of the Emanuel Lutheran Church. She was involved in Ladies Aid, LWML, and Altar Guild at the church.Violet is survived by four children, Alan Hensley and wife Julie, Tipton, Sherryl Hensley, Tipton, Janice Hensley, Florida, Kevin Hensley and wife Liz, Iowa; a sister, Thelma Standiford, Ft. Wayne; two brothers, Paul Weismiller, Tipton, Harold Weismiller, Tipton; five grandchildren, Jennifer Fernung, Elizabeth Hensley, Samuel Hensley, Abram Hensley, Judiah Hensley; two great-grandchildren, Shelby and Oliver Fernung.Her funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 27 at the Emanuel Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Robb Roloff presiding. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Tipton. Visitation will be from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. Monday at Young-Nichols Funeral Home and from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the church.Memorial contributions may be made to the Emanuel Lutheran Church, 1385 S.
