Tony Ray Gipson

Tony Ray Gipson, 70 of Kempton passed away at home with his family by his side, on the morning of Friday, January 3, 2025. Tony was born in Tipton on April 9, 1954 to Johnnie & Verda (Raines) Gipson. He married Connie Park on April 23, 1973 and they celebrated 51 years of marriage.

Tony worked at Woods Wire in Carmel for several years before starting at A. H. Furnico in Indianapolis, working as the warehouse supervisor.  Tony and Connie attended Beech Grove Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Cliff Kelley.  He enjoyed woodworking, camping, visiting Tennessee, being with his family and talking!  He could talk to anyone, never having met a stranger.  

Survivors besides his wife Connie include one daughter, Tracey Herron and husband Josh of Tipton; two grandchildren, Riley and Gabrielle Herron and one great-grandchild, Raven Herron.  

Tony was preceded in death by a daughter, Rhonda Gipson, his parents, his siblings Robbie, Cathey and Stanley and a grandson Konner Kakasuleff.

Funeral services for Tony will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 9 at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with Pastor Jimmy Hunt presiding.  Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
