Thomas William Smith, 78 of Greentown died Sunday, December 3, 2023 at his residence where he was surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Kokomo on March 1, 1945 to Fay William and Mildred Irene (Phifer) Smith. Thomas met the love of his life Diana Carol Vawter and they were married on February 23, 1968; she survives.

Tom was very proud of the 1930 Dodge Coupe he restored and would show it often. Tom also worked as a farmer and in his spare time he enjoyed antique tractors, a nice hobby for tinkering with the past. Tom and Diana enjoyed many trips to the lake house with family and friends. An important part of Tom’s life revolved around his family as he always loved spending time with them. Tom also served his country in the Indiana National Guard.
