Thelma Koors

Thelma Koors, 97 of Tipton died at 9:40 p.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at Millers Merry Manor in Tipton. She was born May 22, 1914 in Howard County to Walter C & Estella M. (Henry) Powell. On October 20, 1932 she married Paul J. Koors who preceded her in death on April 26, 2001

She worked at the St. Joseph Center in Tipton. Thelma was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and the Altar Rosary Society.

Thelma is survived by three children, Martha M. Fisher and husband Duane, Phoenix, Arizona, Maurice B. Koors and wife Sondra (deceased), Talbott, Tennessee, Marita E. Off and husband Herbie (deceased), Tipton; a daughter in law, Thais Koors, Harrison, Ohio; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews She was also preceded in death by one son, Clarence R. Koors and his wife Bonnie; four brothers and one sister.

Her funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 7, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with Rev. Leroy Kinnaman presiding. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with a Rosary service at 4:00 p.m. and a vigil service at 7:00 p.m.
