Steven Charles Wolf, 66 of rural Tipton County died at 4:20 p.m. on Monday, January 2, 2017 at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Steve was born in Bremen on March 24, 1950 to Charles Wolf, Jr. and Ruby (Ropp) Wolf. He married Ramona Johnson on August 29, 1970.
Steve was the owner of S&R Consulting, retiring at the end of 2016. He was a 1968 graduate of Tipton High School and received both his Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Education and Master’s in Plant Pathology from Purdue University. Fishing was a life-long passion for Steve.
Survivors include his wife Ramona, their two children, Amy Lucas and husband Ed, Tipton, Indiana and Curtis Wolf, Atlanta, Indiana; three brothers, John Wolf and wife Joanne, Bryan, Ohio, Dan Wolf and wife Chris, West Allis, Wisconsin and David Wolf and wife Larri, Acworth, Georgia; Steve’s four grandchildren, Trenton, Dylan, Connor and Savannah Lucas; six nieces, one nephew, one great-niece and two great-nephews; and a dear family friend who was like an adopted son, Sam Tweedy.
Graveside services for Steve will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 5 at Fairview Cemetery, Tipton, with Rev. Judi Purvis presiding. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at Young-Nichols Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions in Steve’s honor may be made to the Charles Wolf Memorial Scholarship Fund at the Tipton County Foundation, P.O. Box 412, Tipton, Indiana, 46072.
