Standley J. “Jack” Brumley, 74 of Windfall died at 11:48 a.m. Monday, January 21, 2013 at IU Health Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis. He was born July 5, 1938 in Monticello, Kentucky to Willie A. & Elizabeth (Crabtree) Brumley. He married Peggy Sharber on August 22, 1986 and she survives. Jack was an independent truck driver and carpenter.
Survivors besides his wife include three children, Brenda Nilson and husband Ken, Michigan, Darlene Grell, Windfall and David Brumley of Windfall; two step-children, Julie Ridenour and husband Kim, Tipton, Lynne Hamilton and friend George Lawson, Windfall; seven grandchildren, Sandy Renauer and husband Ed, Michelle Lindow and husband Eddie, Brad Nilson and wife Jackie, Eddie Guffey, Jason Groves, Krysta Stucker and husband Chris, and Coty Brumley; seven step-grandchildren, Ava Ridenour, Alayna Ridenour, Abren Ridenour, Corissa Hamilton, Dakota Lawson, Dravin Lawson and Tarren Lawson.
Jack is also survived by seven great-grandchildren, Elyse, Gabriel, Mallary, Brendon, Elizabeth, Noah and Jackson; his father and mother-in-law Jim & Sue Sharber, sister-in-law Pam Reeder and husband Scot, brother-in-law Michael Sharber and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one daughter, Kathy Guffey.
A graveside service for Jack will be held at 12:00 Noon Friday, January 25 at Fairview Cemetery with Rev. James Sharber presiding and burial to follow. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. Friday until the time of the service at Young-Nichols Funeral Home.
