Russ Beck

Russ BeckRuss Beck, 57, 709 N. Main Street, Tipton, died at 3:00 p.m., Monday, April 10, 2006 at his residence.  He was born June 23, 1948 in Noblesville to Floyd & Vivian (Cranfield) Beck.  On August 8, 1970 he married Lin Laux and she survives.He was a photographer and owner of Photography by Beck for 30 years.  Before starting his photography career he taught at Taylor High School near Kokomo.  He was a 1966 graduate of Hamilton Heights High School and a 1970 graduate of Indiana State University.  Russ served in the U.S. Army from 1970-72.Survivors include his wife Lin; one daughter, Emily Beck, Broad Ripple; one son, Jason Beck, Salt Lake City, Utah; his father, Floyd Beck, Cicero; one brother, David Beck, Brownsburg.A celebration of life will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 12 at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Creede Hinshaw presiding. Visitation will be from 3:00-6:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.In lieu of flowers the family would like memorial donations to be made to Project ALS, 900 Broadway, Suite 901, New York, New York, 10003.
