Rosemary G. Hollingsworth, 97 of Tipton died at 5:05 a.m. on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at IU Health Tipton Hospital. She was born July 19, 1915 in Hamilton County to John Walter & Gail (Fritz) Jordan. She had lived in Fulton County from 1947-1988, Lake County, Florida from 1988-2001, and Kokomo from 2001-2005. Rosemary married S. Keith Hollingsworth on October 27, 1935 and he preceded her in death on February 17, 1994.
Rosemary had worked 20 years for Essex Wire in Akron, Indiana. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Paisley, Florida and helped organize the Junior Leaders in Tipton County 4-H in the 1930's. She belonged to the Omega Community Club in Omega in Fulton County, Fulton County Home Ec Club and was a 1933 graduate of Windfall High School.
Survivors include one daughter, Kay Annitta Burns and husband Howard, Tipton; one son, Walter Herbert Hollingsworth, Oregon; one son-in-law, Richard Neff, Nappanee. She is also survived by four grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews Pam Jones, Shirley Hartsough, Phillip Jordan, Becky Canary, Esther "Petie" Wust, Rachel McCain and Dick Harper. Rosemary was preceded in death by one daughter, Karel Evangeline Neff, two brothers, John David Jordan and Robert Maxwell Jordan, and one sister, Ruth Harper.
Rosemary's funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 12 at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Neff presiding. Burial will follow in Albright Cemetery, Kokomo. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
