Rocky A. Long, 39 of Westfield died on Sunday, February 25, 2018 in Hamilton County. He was born on December 18, 1978 in Kokomo to Glenn R. & Rebecca J. (Day) Long.
Rocky worked as a machinist at Standard Locknut in Westfield. He was a Grateful Dead Fan – a “Dead Head”. He also enjoyed the Dave Matthews Band and Phish and was an avid Michigan football fan. Rocky was a 1997 graduate of Tipton High School. He enjoyed camping, spending time outdoors and loved his dog Tank. Rocky loved to spend time with his nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Survivors include his father Glenn Long and friend Sharon Stohler; special friends John Gaddis and Chrissy Paris; siblings Natasha Long (Emily Dunn), John Long (Meghan Reed), Shaun Kocher (Monica Kocher), Emily Kocher (Jay Hampton); uncle & aunt Kenny & Cindy Day; step-mother Penny Buchanan; six nieces and four nephews.
Rocky was preceded in death by his mother Becky Long, maternal grandparents Burl & Marjorie Day, Grandma Wanda Long and Grandpa Glenn Long.
Rocky’s funeral will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 4 at Young-Nichols Funeral Home, Tipton with Rev. Linda McKiernan-Allen presiding. Burial after cremation will be in Fairview Cemetery, Tipton at a later date. Visitation will be from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. on Sunday.
