Robert Ray Collins, 52 of Kokomo, and formerly of Tipton and Marion, died on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at IU Health – Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Ray was born in Clermont, Florida on November 14, 1968. His parents were Edward & Brenda (Baker) Brooks and they both preceded him in death.
Ray was a master carpenter and enjoyed building things from wood. He grew up in Marion, attending school there and graduating from Marion High School in 1988. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, riding his Harley Davidson and about any outdoor activity. He liked shooting guns, driving his truck and listening to music. Above all, Ray was a devoted family man and loved spending time with his family, especially his daughter Shelby. Ray was a hard worker and his work effort showed.
Survivors include his daughter Shelby Collins of Kokomo; three siblings, Jenny Gomes and husband Rick, Florida, Edward Brooks, Jr. of Tipton and Francis McRoy. He also has a nephew who he affectionately called “Baby Eddie” Brooks.
