Robert G. "Big Time" StevensRobert Gene "Big Time" Stevens, 71, Tipton, died at 12:13 a.m. Thursday, June 10, 2010 at Tipton Hospital.  He was born August 23, 1938 in Tipton County to Wayne R. & Wilda (Wolverton) Stevens.Robert had worked for Steel Parts in Tipton for 37 years and retired in 1996.  He was a member of the Albright United Methodist Church and Quarter Miler's Auto Club.Robert is survived by two children  Kim Bambrough and husband Craig, Tipton, Mike Stevens, Kokomo; two brothers, Gary N. Stevens and wife Wanda, Kokomo, Edward K. Stevens and wife Kathleen, Indianapolis; three grandchildren, Dayna Damewood, LaTosha Scott, Shaun Stevens; five great-grandchildren, Blayke Acord, Christien Damewood, Austin Gutowski, Aubrey Dutton, Ashtin Dutton.He was preceded in death by one son, Bobby Gene Stevens and his parents, Wayne and Wilda Stevens.His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 12 at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with Pastor Joshua Nichols presiding.  Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.The family would like to extend a special thank you to Millers Merry Manor and Tipton Hospital for their outstanding care of Robert.Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 50 E 91st Street, Suite100, Indianapolis, IN  46209.
