Robert E. Holloway

Robert E. “Bob” Holloway, 62 of Atlanta died at 9:26 p.m. on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at his residence.  He was born on November 17, 1955 in Tipton to Robert & Fern (Howery) Holloway.  On September 7, 1991 he married Georgia Sue Ziegler and she survives.

Bob worked for the Arcadia Developmental Center as a part time maintenance man, retiring after 14 years. He had many pastimes that he enjoyed, like building engines for his mini-bikes, trying to get just one more mile an hour or two faster out of those engines if he could, and working on his family history.  He spent more than 30 some odd years hunting arrowheads and old marbles out in cornfields, something he really enjoyed doing.  Bob served in the United States Army in Germany.

He is survived by his wife, Georgia Sue; his mother, Fern Heilman and husband Joe, Texas; two children, Robbie West, Kokomo and Christopher Holloway, Kokomo; two step-children, Jennifer McMillan, Sheridan, Rodney Walker, Tipton; a brother, Roger Holloway, Brazil, Indiana; a sister, Jennifer Holloway, Indianapolis; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.  He was preceded in death by his father , Robert Holloway.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 1, at West Grove Cemetery, Deming, Indiana with Larry Barnes presiding.  Military honors will be conducted at the cemetery.  Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Young-Nichols Funeral Home in Tipton.
