Robert Arnold Stout, 76, of Tipton died at 8:24 p.m. Friday, September 2, 2011 at his residence. He was born December 25, 1934 in Tipton to Lester S. & Daisy E. (Oliver) Stout. Robert had formerly lived in Kokomo, West Middleton and Milwaukee, Wisconsin. On September 12, 1958 he married Terry E. Wozniak and she survives.
Robert had retired from Chrysler Corporation in 1990. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and the F.O.P. He served in the U.S. Army. Robert enjoyed reading, playing cards and cooking. He loved being with friends and spending time outdoors. He was an avid I.U. fan.
Survivors besides his wife include four children, Cynthia Stout, Tipton, Mindy Bruin and husband Gordon, Utah, Mike Stout, Indiana and Michelle Altherr and husband Pete, Tipton; 11 grandchildren, Jared Bruin and wife Nikki, Jessie Curtis and husband Jordan, Janae Brannon and husband Logan, Jeff Bruin, Aeriel Jennings, Katrina, Tabitha and Jasmine Altherr, Rachael and Jennifer Stout and Zachary Hattan; six great-grandchildren, MarRyan Stout, Madison, Tanner & Gretchen Stout and Chloe & Reese Bruin.
Robert was preceded in death by one son, Bruce Stout and two brothers, Jack and Jim Stout.
Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 8 at St. John's Cemetery with Rev. Leroy Kinnaman presiding and burial with military honors to follow. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Young-Nichols Funeral Home.
