Richard Lyndon “Rick” Smith

February 21, 1963 — December 31, 2012

Richard Lyndon "Rick" Smith, 49 of Buffalo, Indiana and formerly of Tipton, was found deceased at his home on Monday, December 31, 2012. He had also lived in Maui, Hawaii, Florida and Kokomo. He was born February 12, 1963 in Kokomo to Robert Lloyd & Helen Marie (Parks) Smith. Rick had previously been married to Jeanie Mast, Sheila Fitzgerald and Anita Robertson.

Rick had worked as a park ranger at Sebastian Inlet State Park in Florida. He was a Certified Scuba Diving Instructor for PADI and was an avid scuba diver.

Survivors include his mother Helen Smith of Tipton; two brothers, Jeffrey Lloyd Smith, Tipton and William Todd Smith, Tipton; two sisters, Anne Marie Smith, Tipton and Laura Leigh Cross, Monrovia, Indiana; two uncles, Robert W. Parks, Kokomo and Walter Parks, Peru; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Allan Smith.

No services are planned at this time. Young-Nichols Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
