"Gene" HenryRaymond Eugene "Gene" Henry, of Tipton passed away at the age of 83 at 3:05 a.m. on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at Miller's Merry Manor in Tipton.  Gene was the owner and operator of Gene Henry & Sons Heating and Air Conditioning, specializing in Bryant products.  The business was started in 1967 with the help of his wife, Margie.Gene was born February 24, 1931 to Raymond John & Anna (McEntee) Henry in Tipton.  He married the love of his life, Margie Ann Wright on June 23, 1951.  They had 59 wonderful years together until Margie's death in 2010 and they were blessed with seven children who all adored their Daddy.Gene was a lifelong Tipton County resident and farmer. He attended St. John the Baptist Catholic School and was a 1949 Tipton High School graduate.  Gene was a very active member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Tipton.  He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #1265 and he was a 4th Degree Knight.  He served many sausage and pancake breakfasts along with endless fish fry dinners.  Gene made sure all of the equipment was running smoothly.He is survived by his daughters, Suzette and Ronnie Bills, Potomac, Illinois, Lynette and Faustino Baeza, Odessa, Texas, Annette and Don Workman, Avon and Juliette and Gary Coston, Alexandria; one son, Barry and Jannett Henry of Hendersonville, Tennessee.  Gene was also blessed with 20 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.  Also surviving is one daughter-in-law, Cindy Henry, Indianapolis; a sister-in-law, Carol Jackson and two nieces and three nephews.Gene was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Anna Catherine and Bernadine and two sons, Raymond William "Bill" and Jeffrey Allan, and his love, Margie.A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 8 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with Rev. Christopher Shocklee presiding.  Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery.  The family will receive guests from 2:00 - 7:00 p.m. Sunday at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with a rosary service at 4:00 p.m.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the building fund at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 340 Mill Street Tipton, Indiana 46072.Daddy, your legacy will never be forgotten; you taught us about hard work, honesty and integrity.  We will always remember you quietly sitting in your chair, eating your candy and enjoying the chaos around you when we were all together.  We love you.
