Ralph E. Elston

Ralph E. ElstonRalph E. Elston, 83, Tipton, died Friday, June 8, 2007 at his residence.  He was born February 12, 1924 in Tipton to Harley & Goldie Elston.  On November 22, 1947 he married Dorothy Witte and she died August 26, 1991.He worked as a millwright at Haynes-Stellite in Kokomo.  Ralph was a member of the Kemp United Methodist Church and the Elks.  He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.He is survived by one son, Darrell Elston and his wife Christina, Tipton; one son-in-law, Fred DeWitt, Sharpsville; five grandchildren, Alisha Martin, Lindsay Elston, Bryan Elston, Derek Elston and Aubree Elston; one sister, Marge Shock, Vevay, Indiana; and a special companion, Louise Riley, Tipton..Ralph was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy, one daughter, Darleen DeWitt, one grandson, Patrick DeWitt, and two brothers, Ruben and Bud Elston.His funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 13 at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Ingle presiding.  Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.Memorial Contributions may be made to Relay for Life, P.O.
