Philip M. Lord

Philip M. LordPhilip M. Lord, 79, Tipton, died at 10:43 p.m. Sunday, February 10, 2008 at Autumnwood Extended Care.  He was born April 9, 1928 in Tipton to Donald F. & Mildred B. (Shupperd) Lord.  On December 31, 1952 he married Jo A. Losey and she survives.Phil served in the U.S. Navy, retiring in 1969.  He then worked for the U.S. Postal Service, retiring from there in 1990.  He was a member of West Street Christian Church, Moose Lodge and the American Legion.Survivors besides his wife include two daughters and one son, Pam Stout and Tim Ehman, Doug Lord and wife Roseann, and Deb Heath and husband Doug, all of Tipton; one sister, Phyllis Samuels and husband Joe, Tipton; brother-in-law Bob Losey and wife Nancy, Tipton; six grandchildren, Jeff Stout, Megan Lord, Adrienne White, Jon-Thomas Lord, Justin Heath and Shelby Heath; one great-grandchild, Brayden White.His funeral will be at 12:00 noon Thursday, February 14, at Fairview Cemetery with Pastor Bill Salsbery presiding and burial to follow. Military graveside services will be provided by the American Legion and U.S. Navy.  Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Young-Nichols Funeral Home.
