Patsy Jane Oberleas

Patsy Jane OberleasPatsy Jane Oberleas, 73, Goldsmith, died at  9:10 a.m. Thursday, June 18, 2009 at her residence. She was born February 20, 1936 in Tipton County to Dallas & Mary E. (Bauer) Davenport.  She married John E. Oberleas on June 16, 1957 and he survives.Patsy was a loan officer at Farmer's Loan & Trust in Tipton and its successor, First National Bank, for 44 years, retiring in 1999.   She was a member of Goldsmith United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women.Survivors besides her husband John include one son, Sid Oberleas and wife Charlotte, Murfreesboro, Tennessee; one daughter, Sheila Foutch and husband Roger, Sharpsville; two sisters, Petronel Shuck and husband Gerald, Kokomo and Elizabeth Sommer and husband John, Delaware, Ohio; four grandchildren, John Oberleas and wife London, Lauren Kivela and husband Jim, Leticia Foutch and Benjamin Foutch; several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by one brother, Jarvis Davenport.Her funeral will be at 12:00 noon Monday, June 22 at the Goldsmith United Methodist Church with Rev. Mike Weber presiding.  Burial will follow in Tetersburg Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon Monday at the church.  Young-Nichols Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.Memorial contributions may be made to Tipton County Relay for Life, 2723 S.
