Patricia Lou Little Altherr, 82 of Kokomo died at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, April 29, 2019 at Golden Living Healthcare in Kokomo. She was born on October 25, 1936 in Kokomo to Elvin E. & Velva E. (Brock) Glassburn.
Patricia was a multitalented woman. She owned and operated Patricia Cakes and Edelheim Kennels at first raising and showing confirmation German Shepherds. She then trained dogs to assist in drug and bomb searches as well as searching for lost people. She once appeared on the Phil Donahue Show. Pat had dabbled in painting, wood working and ceramics.
She is survived by one daughter, Karyn (Keith) Singer; three sons Daniel (Derinda) Altherr, James (Perry) Altherr and John Altherr; one daughter-in-law, Sherry Altherr; one brother, James (Phyllis) Glassburn; one half brother, Harry (Anne) McKinley, one half sister, Nadine (Phil) Dunham.
Pat also has 10 grandchildren, John (Lorenda) Ludlow, Amanda (Johnny) Magee, SarahAnne (Jereme) Sellmer, Lydia De Leon, Kaitlyn (Derrick) Mosher, Andrew Altherr, Josie Altherr, Katie Altherr, Levi (Ashley) Altherr, Brittney (Joe) Benzinger and 12 great-grandchildren, Adam Sellmer, Brad Sellmer, Kiley Magee, Korbin Magee, Charlotte De Leon, Nolan De Leon, Nora Mosher, Thea Mosher, Jackson Altherr, Avery Altherr, Bailey Benzinger, and Owen Benzinger.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother Raymond Glassburn; sisters Lucille Floyd and Joan Johnson; a half brother, Chuck McKinley and one son, Robert Altherr.
Young-Nichols Funeral Home was chosen to assist the family with her arrangements.
Patricia made an impact in the lives of many and her creative nature will be missed. It was Patricia’s wish that she be cremated and not have any funeral service. She wanted everyone to remember how she lived and loved.
