Patricia Ann Leininger

Patricia Ann LeiningerPatricia Ann Leininger, 73, Plant City, Florida and a former Tipton County resident, died Monday, July 20, 2009 at South Florida Baptist Hospital in Plant City, Florida.  She was born September 1, 1935 in Indianapolis to M. Wayne & Maxine (Kersey) Clawson.  She grew up in the Stilesville and Avon areas and then lived in Tipton County until 1996 when she moved to Florida. On June 11, 1960 she married Lester F. Leininger and he preceded her in death on May 1, 1993.Patricia was an elementary school teacher and worked primarily in the school systems in Hamilton County.  She belonged to the Emanuel Lutheran Church, Tipton, Hope Lutheran Church, Plant City, and attended Stilesville Christian Church while growing up.  She was a member of the New Hope Home Ec Club and the Indiana Retired Teachers Association.She is survived by two children, Lee Ann Kimberling, Anderson, and Tony Wayne Leininger, Seattle, Washington; one sister, Phyllis Jansen, Smithsfalls, Ontario, Canada.Her funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 24 at the Emanuel Lutheran Church, Tipton, with Rev. Robb Roloff presiding.  Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery at a later date.  Visitation will be from 3:00-5:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at Young-Nichols Funeral Home and from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Friday at the church.Memorial contributions may be made to Lutheran Hour Ministries or the American Diabetes Association.
