Norma L. Stewart, 89 of Tipton died at 8:42 p.m. on Thursday, July 4, 2019 at I.U. Health Tipton Hospital. She was born on May 9, 1930 in Kokomo, Indiana to Homer & Maude (Zeigler) Crispen. On March 8, 1948 she married Jack Stewart and he preceded her in death on November 2, 1995. She then married James Fennell on August 18, 2001 and he preceded her in death on January 29, 2013.
Norma was a homemaker, a wife and a mother. She was a member of East Union Christian Church and had formerly attended Windfall Christian Church.
She is survived by three children, Linda Peters and husband Steve, Tipton, Jerry Stewart and Debra Campbell, Michigan, Randy Stewart and wife Kathy, Tipton; one sister, Betty Miller of Kokomo; six grandchildren, Grant Peters and wife Alicia, Amber Sharp, Heather Simmons and husband David, Michael Stewart and wife Amy, Rachael Helms and husband Eric, and Joel Stewart and wife Kaylee, along with eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by five siblings, Doris Kull and Wayne Crispen, Loren Crispen, Helen Soblotne, and Rosemary Mendenhall.
Funeral services for Norma will be at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 9 at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with Steve Brown presiding. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the service.
