Naomi Robinson

Naomi RobinsonNaomi Robinson, 86 of Tipton died at 5:15 a.m. Sunday, September 30, 2007 at Millers Merry Manor in Tipton.  She was born in Tipton County on April 9, 1921 to Fred and Nina (Keeler) Wolverton.  On July 20, 1951 she married Peter Thomas Robinson; he preceded her in death on March 20, 1972.Naomi had worked at the Tipton County Auditors office and also had been the bookkeeper at the Tipton County Highway for years.  She belonged to West Street Christian Church.Survivors include two daughters; Nina Balser and husband David of Cambridge City, and Linda Rikard of Kokomo.  Naomi has 6 grandchildren: Taralee Rikard, Nicci Rikard, Shanna Willis, Cory Balser, Brooke Balser, and Erika Gilman and 5 great-grandchildren: Sean Beebout, Derek Beebout, Jenna Rikard, Carson Willis, and Carter Wright.She was preceded in death by a brother, John Wolverton and a sister, Wilda Stevens.Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday October 4,  at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Burns-Watson presiding.  Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Tipton.  Visitation will be Thursday from Noon until 2:00pm at the funeral home.
