Morris E. Dolan

Morris E. DolanMorris E. Dolan, 71, Tipton, died at 3:10 a.m. Monday, October 27, 2008 at Tipton Hospital.  He was born August 24, 1937, in Tipton to Charles E. & Mildred (Erp) Dolan.  On October 28, 1955 he married Janet Horton and she survives.He was the principle broker for Dolan Realty and a real estate appraiser.  Morris was a member of the West Street Christian Church were he had served as a  Deacon and on several committees.  He was Past Exalted Ruler of the Elks in Tipton.  Morris also served on the Kokomo and Frankfort Board of Realtors and the Indiana State Board of Realtors.  He also served in the Navy from 1955 to 1957.Morris loved his grandchildren and enjoyed spending time fishing and gardening. He was a proud member of the Old Goats Poker Club.Morris is survived by his wife; three daughters, Terri Newcom  and husband Randy, Kempton, Tracy Lewis and husband Jerry, Romney, and Shannon Copas and husband Terry, Tipton; and six grandchildren, Sara Murphy and husband Michael, Emily Newcom, Tanner Lewis, Hayley Lewis, Taylor Copas, and Mallory Copas.  He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Max Dolan.His funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 29, at Young-Nichols Funeral Home, Tipton, with Rev. George Sullivan-Davis and Rev. Bob Shaw.  Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Tipton at a later date.  Visitation will be from 3:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
