Mildred Lord

Mildred LordMildred Lord, 100, Tipton, passed away at 4:15 in the afternoon Monday, May 21, 2007 at Miller's Merry Manor in Tipton.  She was born May 1, 1907 in Tipton and was the daughter of Charles & Elizabeth (Decker) Shuppard.  On July 16, 1927 she married Donald F. Lord and he preceded her in death July 25, 1994.Mildred was a homemaker and enjoyed visiting with her family and friends and taking care of her home.  She was a 68-year member of the West Street Christian Church.She is survived by one daughter, Phyllis (Lord) Samuels and her husband Joe, Tipton; one son, Philip M. Lord and his wife Jo Ann, Tipton; six grandchildren, Mark Samuels, Kathy Ripberger, Karen Sheasley, Douglas Lord, Debbie Heath and Pamela Stout; eight great-grandchildren, Justin Heath, Shelby Heath, Jeff Stout, Megan Lord, John Thomas Lord, Adrienne Lord, Brad Purvis, Danielle Carroll; three great-great grandchildren, Haylee Carroll, Ryan Carroll, and Riley Purvis.  One brother, Guy Francis Shuppard, is deceased.Mildred's funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Salsbery presiding.  Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 12:00 noon - 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.Memorial contributions may be made to the West Street Christian Church, 132 N.
