Michelle “Mickey” Lee

Michelle “Mickey” Lee, 77 of Tipton died peacefully at 11:27 a.m. on Sunday, February 25, 2018 surrounded by her family at her residence.  She was born on March 31, 1940 in Tipton to C.H. “Doc” & Mary E. (Thompson) Michel.  She married Robert J. “Bob” Lee on October 11, 1959 and he preceded her in death on December 8, 1996.

Mickey was a full time wife and mother.  She worked at Pioneer, Jefferson Elementary School, and Brumbaugh’s Greenhouse before retiring in 2009.  Mickey was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Tri Kappa, and American Cancer Society.

She is survived by a son, Michel Lee, Tipton; a daughter, Laura Beth Dunn and husband Kelly, Tipton; a brother Dr. Max Michel and wife Joyce, Louisville, Kentucky; six grandchildren, Rob Lee, Sydney DeBaun and husband Logan, Olivia Lee, Meagan Dunn, Katy Hickman and husband Chris, and Emma Dunn.

Mickey’s family will receive friends to honor her and share stories from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 1, at Young-Nichols Funeral Home.  There will be a private family burial at a later date in Fairview Cemetery, Tipton.
