Michael Robert MasonMichael Robert Mason, 62 of Indianapolis and formerly of Tipton died at 2:44 a.m. on Sunday, August 26, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital - South in Indianapolis.  He was born October 25, 1949 in Elwood to Thomas E. & Mary Ann (Mongold) Mason.Michael had worked for the Indiana Department of Transportation.  He was a graduate of Tipton High School in the class of 1967.  Michael served in the U.S. Army.He is survived by one brother, Thomas Mason of Tipton.  One brother, Richard A. Mason and one sister, Sharon Ann Stroup preceded him in death.A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 29 at St. John's Cemetery in Tipton with Rev. Leroy Kinnaman presiding and burial to follow.  Young-Nichols Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
