Michael Lee Simmons

Michael Lee Simmons, 65 of Indianapolis and formerly of Tipton County died at 7:46 p.m. on Friday, October 26, 2018 at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis. Michael was born on July 10, 1953 in San Diego, California to John E. & Carol (Arnholter) Simmons.

Michael had worked at ARC, Janus and Noble industries in Central Indiana. He had lived in Indianapolis for several years.

Survivors include one brother, Mark Simmons and wife Sherry, Tipton; a brother-in-law, Fred Placke, Texas; nieces and nephews, Carey Frazer and husband James, Gregory Placke, Fred Placke and wife Erin, Rebekah O’Sullivan and husband James, Trae Simmons, Tegan Simmons, and Tana Simmons; six great-nieces and nephews, McKinley and Peyton Frazer, Avner and Charlie O’Sullivan, Avery Placke and Gabriel Placke.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Carey Simmons and Caren Placke.

Private family services will be held for Michael and he will be buried next to his parents in Fairview Cemetery, Tipton. Young-Nichols Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to the Normanda Christian Church, 8019 W. Division Road Tipton, Indiana, 46072.
