Melburn W. “Wayne” Booher

Melburn W. “Wayne” Booher, Sr., 74 of Windfall and formerly of Tipton, died at 9:40 a.m. on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 in Jacksonville, Florida. He was born September 9, 1942 in Tipton to Melburn Hurbert and Nellie (Bradfield) Booher. On June 12, 1966 he married Joann Elizabeth Guffey and she survives. Wayne was a machine operator, working at Milbank Manufacturing until retiring in 2002.

Survivors include his wife Joann, one son, Melburn Wayne Booher, Jr. and wife Chelsie Marie of Sanderson, Florida; one sister, Rita Lewis of Tipton; three grandchildren, Jasmine Lee Booher, Corrina Sue Booher and Brennan Mason Woodroof. Wayne was preceded in death by two brothers, Gary Booher and Larry Booher and three sisters, Wanita Barnes, Patty Crawford and Vickey Badgley.

Wayne’s funeral will be at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 25 at Young-Nichols Funeral Home, Tipton. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service. Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at Brookside Cemetery in Windfall.
