Max Hunt Basey passed away in peace in Atlanta, Indiana on Monday, November 13, 2017.
Born July 12, 1922 in Tipton, Indiana to Blanche and Ralph Basey, he graduated from Tipton High School in 1942. He married Ruth Dunning September 28, 1945 and she survives. Max was a 4-H Leader in Sheridan for several years and was an avid horseman. In particular, he loved to show and trail ride Tennessee Walking horses and passed along this hobby to his daughter. Max also enjoyed traveling and camping throughout the US, especially in National Parks such as Yellowstone and winters spent in Ft. Meyers, Florida. Later in life he spent his free time watching sporting events including Purdue basketball, Pacers basketball and Colts games.
But most of all, Max was a one-of-a-kind and beloved father to daughters Carolyn Brown and LouAnn Cash, grandfather to Alex and Tony Brown and Michelle Espinoza, great-grandfather to six and uncle to many.
