Mary L. Hinkle, 99 of Tipton passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2024 at The Waters of Tipton. She was born in Cicero Township of Tipton County on February 14, 1925 to Gilbert F. & Mary M. (Snipes) Meeks. Mary married Robert V. Hinkle on November 14, 1945 and he preceded her in death on June 16, 1997.
She was the bookkeeper and co-owner with her husband on Hinkle TV Service in Tipton. Before that she had worked for International Harvester in Chicago. She was a graduate of Tipton High School in the Class of 1942.
Mary was a member of the West Street Christian Church where she was an Elder and a member of Esther Circle. She had been an associate of Haines City Christian Church in Florida. She enjoyed visiting Dale Hollow and wintering in Winter Haven, Florida.
She is survived by three sons, Ted Hinkle of Racine, Wisconsin, Tim Hinkle of Byrdstown, Tennessee, and Dan Hinkle of Tipton, along with four grandchildren, Heather Bohen, Melissa Hinkle, Eric Hinkle and Shanika Palm; three nieces, and four great-nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob; a son, Steve Hinkle and three brothers, Robert Meeks, Victor Meeks, and Richard Meeks and one niece.
