Martin Scott

Martin ScottMartin "Pa" Scott, 82 of Tipton died at 4:28 p.m. on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at IU Health Tipton Hospital.  He was born in Celina, Tennessee on February 4, 1932 to Oss and Loretta (Morris) Scott.  On June 7 1950, Martin married Mary E. Duffitt and she survives.Martin had worked at FMC for 32 years.  He was a former member of the East Hopewell Baptist Church.  Martin was an avid fisherman and NASCAR fan.  He deeply loved his family.Surviving besides his wife Mary are children Allen Scott, Tipton, David Scott, Georgia, Dennis Scott and wife Karen, Kirklin, Alex Scott and wife Joan, Tipton, Marcy Peters and husband Fred, Tipton, Michael Scott and wife Valerie, Whitehouse, Tennessee, Sharon Linerode and husband Steve, Tipton and Udean Hanover and husband Harold, Anderson.  Two brothers Jim Scott, Tipton and Daniel Scott, Tipton;  15 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.Martin was preceded in death by one son, Tony Scott; brothers and sisters; Avo Parks, Ruth E. Scott, Glen Boy, William Scott, Allyne Reecer, and Jr. Scott.Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m.. Monday, August 4, at Young-Nichols Funeral Home, Tipton with Rev. Jim Hunt presiding.  Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery Tipton.  Visitation will be from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
