Marie Mckinney

Marie McKinneyMarie McKinney, 87 of Windfall and formerly of New York and New Jersey, died at 3:50 p.m. Sunday, February 5, 2012 at I.U. Health Tipton Hospital.  She was born on January 22, 1925 in New York to Joseph J. and Gladys (Best) Mayer. She was married to George D. Emmons, Jr. who was killed in WWII.  Then on September 8,1946 she married Clark E. McKinney Sr. and he preceded her in death on May 3, 2010.She worked at Delco Electronics for 23 years, retiring in 1987.  Marie had attended Hobbs Christain Church, was a member of the U.A.W. Local 292 and graduated from Lakewood High School in New Jersey.Marie is survived by three children, Diane Brown, Windfall, Clark McKinney Jr. and wife Pat of Windfall, and Linda Weeks and husband Ronald of Hobbs; one brother Joseph Mayer of  Tom's River, New Jersey; four grandchildren, Michele Meadors, Loren Weeks, Michael Brown, and Jessica McKinney; four step-grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by one brother Robert D. Mayer, and one sister Elizabeth Trail.Private graveside services will be held at Brookside Cemetery in Windfall.  Young-Nichols Funeral Home, Tipton is in charge of the arrangements.Memorial donations may be made to I.U.
