Madonna Ruth (Ripberger) MyersMadonna Ruth (Ripberger) Myers, 87, Tipton died at 9:30 p.m. Monday, April 26, 2010 at her residence. She was born October 18, 1922 in Tipton County to Clarence R. Ripberger and Mary G. (Lawhorn, Hickner) Ripberger.  On April 11, 1945 she married Phillip W. Myers and he preceded her in death on March 4, 1993.Madonna was a homemaker and had worked at Carter's Supermarket and at Danner's in Tipton for 17 years. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and the Rosary Society.She is survived by three children, Clarence "Butch" Myers and wife Katie (Jackson), Fishers, Patty A. Shirk and husband Terry, Atlanta and Diana K. Tomlinson and husband Denny, Tipton; eight grandchildren, Kristen (Myers) LaGoy, Andrew Myers, Rebecca Myers, Shannon (Shirk) Jackson, Jeremiah Shirk, Stephanie (Shirk) Hoane, Kacy Horton, and Randall "Randy" Horton; six great-grandchildren Bret & Bailee Jackson, Marie & Matthew Hoane. Andrew "Kade" Myers and Kaylee Jo Horton.Madonna is also survived by two sisters, Rosemary "Rosie" Comer and Betty Hawkins and husband Bill, all of Tipton and three sisters-in-law, Jody Ripberger, Thelma Ripberger and Mary Lou Ripberger.  She was preceded in death by four brothers, Raymond "Bud" Ripberger, Patrick "Pat" Ripberger, James "Jim" Ripberger and Richard "Rich" Ripberger.A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 30, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 340 Mill Street, Tipton, with Rev. Leroy Kinnaman presiding.  Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Young-Nichols Funeral Home.Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2723 S.
