Lois Sottong

Lois SottongLois Sottong, 96,  Tipton, died at 9:56 a.m. Saturday, November 15, 2008 at Autumnwood in Tipton.  She was born in Sharpsville on December 2, 1911 to Elmer and Maude (DeWitt) Lee.  Lois married Lewis Rogers; he preceded her in death in 1941, then on June 2, 1943 she married Ralph Sottong and he preceded her in death in 1976.Lois was a farm wife and a nursing assistant at Tipton Hospital.  She was a member of Windfall Christian Church.Survivors include one daughter, Carolyn Duncan, Tipton; two sons, Jack Rogers of Sharpsville and Jean Rogers of Kokomo; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren and nine step great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by two sons, Jim and Joe Rogers.Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 18, at the Windfall Christian Church with Rev. Carl Roudebush presiding.  Burial will follow at Nevada Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Monday, November 17, at Windfall Christian Church.Memorial donations may be made to the Windfall Christian Church Building Fund, 211 N.
