Following a long battle with lung fibrosis, Lois Joan Baldridge-Roseberry flew home to the arms of Jesus on September 30, 2017, in Marion, Indiana. Lois was born in Bloomington, Indiana, to Kenneth and Jean (Griffeth) Baldridge on July 2, 1955. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. William Roseberry, her parents and her brother, Ted Baldridge.
Lois loved Bloomington and held fond memories of growing up embraced by the glories and wonderment of the outdoors, swimming, camping, hiking, and holding values of respect and duty. She graduated from Bloomington South in 1973 and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation from Indiana University. She was active in Girl Scouting, outdoor recreation, and church ministry.
Lois leaves a legacy of overcoming life’s difficulties with an unending faith in God. She is survived by her sister, Lee Ann Franklin, of Bloomington; her nieces, Tina, Joy, Amanda; nephew, Michael; god-daughter, Rena, two great nieces and four great nephews, a host of cousins, and many friends.
As her health declined, family and friends gathered earlier for Celebrations of Living to honor Lois, sharing reminiscences and faith journeys. In memory contributions might be made to lung research or a local Christian charity.
Funeral services were entrusted to Young-Nichols Funeral Home, Tipton.
