Lawrence L. GibsonLawrence L. Gibson, 75, Tipton died at 5:03 p.m. Saturday, March 17, 2012 at Millers Merry Manor in Tipton.  He was born January 29, 1937 in Gainesboro, Jackson County, Tennessee to George & Roxie (Green) Gibson.  On December 24, 1955 he married Alice Bragg and she preceded him in death on January 10, 1999.  He had worked at Steel Parts in Tipton.Survivors include four children, Larry Gibson, Portage, Indiana, Brenda Brackney, Yuba City, California, Cheryl Purvis, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Bill Gibson, Noblesville; five brothers and sisters, Gene (Satin) Gipson, Tim (Brenda) Gibson, Bud (Gwen) Gibson, Anna Gipson, and Becky (Joe) Brosnan.Lawrence is also survived by eight grandchildren, Eric Gibson, Beth Swinford, Brandi Hancock, April Pfohl, Danielle Vann, Kari Trusheim, Angie Gibson, and Chloe Gibson; 15 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by one brother, Ken Gibson.His funeral will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 21 at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service.
