Lawrence J. Bath, Jr., 89 of Tipton died at 7:10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at Miller's Merry Manor, Tipton. He was born June 11, 1926 in Tipton to Lawrence J. Bath, Sr. and Hazel Irene (Parnell) Bath. He married Doris Ethel Todd on May 22, 1948 and she survives.
Lawrence had worked at Perfect Circle – Dana Corporation, Pioneer and Fear Campbell Poultry, retiring in 1981. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Eagles. He enjoyed playing bingo and calling the games, cards, horseshoes and shuffleboard. Lawrence liked to camp with his family. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army in WWII.
Survivors include one daughter, Marsha Kay Auler and husband Charles Leroy, Tipton; two grandsons, Brad Lee Auler and Brent Allen Auler and wife Anita Kae; three great-grandchildren, Taylor McKenzie Auler, Peyton Allen Auler and Jarren Lee Auler; two step-great-grandchildren, Ashley Coleman and Cody Austin LeCount.
Lawrence was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters, Paul Bath, Ralph Bath, Helen Johnson, Joan Arnett, Mary Margaret Butler and Katherine McDonald.
The funeral service for Lawrence will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 10 at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Lawrence Hufhand presiding. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Tipton with military honors. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
