Kenny Hendricks, 55 of Tipton and formerly of San Diego, California died Sunday, February 28, 2016 at his residence. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on August 19, 1960 to William Blaine & Shirley Louise (Short) Hendricks. Together since 1985, he and Michele Ward were married on July 28, 2007.
Kenny worked in construction as a concrete finisher. He loved golf and fishing. He was a avid fan of the Detroit Lions and Jimmie Johnson, a six-time champion in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.
He is survived by his wife, Michele; mother, Shirley Louise Foster, Spencer; two daughters, Vicky Scholl and husband Larry Jr., Elwood, Marsha Sheets and companion Scott Shannon, Elwood; four grandchildren, Brice Gant, Austin Gant, Hayden Sheets, Holden Sheets; a great-granddaughter, Tessa Gant; two brothers, David Hendricks and Mike Hendricks, Tipton; a sister, Sherri Dick, Tipton; nephews, Tyler Mendyke and Alex Dick; great-nephew, Sebastian Mendyke; Kenny's dog Laci.
Kenny was preceded in death by his father, William Hendricks; stepfathers, Pete Foster and Virgle Driver; a nephew, Travis McNew.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. at Young-Nichols Funeral Home on Thursday, March 3, with Pastor Bill Salsbery presiding. Cremation was the chosen form of disposition. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until time of service on Thursday.
