Kathryn C. Ramey

Kathryn C. RameyKathryn C. Ramey, 88, Tipton died at 9:40 a.m. Wednesday, May 24, 2006 at Tipton Hospital.  She was born in Sturgis, South Dakota on August 15, 1917 to Arthur F. and Nettie (Ross) Kaiser.  She married Richard W. Ramey on January 30, 1965.  He preceded her in death on October 1, 2000.Kathryn retired in 1977 from Delco Electronics in Kokomo.  She was a member of the Mount Gilead Baptist Church.Kathryn enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.  She was a great organ player and also enjoyed oil painting and traveling the United States.  She was very much loved by all who knew her and will always be loved and missed by them.  She was an inspiration to everyone!Kathryn is survived by two daughters, Loretta Fippen and husband Glenn, Sharpsville, and Sharon Gamble and husband Jim, Windfall; one step-daughter, Jo Ayres, Honolulu, Hawaii; four grandchildren and spouses, Jim & Sherry Fisher, Anna & Mike Bloyd, Joellen & Brad Murphy, and Tammy & Cory Dulworth; nine great-grandchildren.One step-son, Michael Lee Ramey, and one brother, Charles Kaiser, are deceased.Her funeral will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 27, at Young-Nichols Funeral Home, 216 W. Jefferson Street, Tipton, with Rev. Steve Gollner presiding.  Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Tipton.  Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
