Kathleen A. King, 91 of Tipton died at 11:26 p.m. on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Tipton. She was born in Bono, Arkansas on November 3, 1925 to William J. and Sophe (Craig) Barnes.
Kathleen had worked at Delco Radio in assembly, was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary and loved gardening and animals.
She is survived by her son, Jimmie W. King of Tipton, grandchildren Karen Kennedy (David), Angie Heinzman (Corey) and Nikki Scott (Mike), two great-grandchildren, Brody Heinzman and Leah Kennedy and a special nephew, Paul Hicks.
Kathleen was preceded in death by a daughter, Connie Lauderbaugh, a daughter-in-law Cher King, and siblings Mildred “Johnnie” Culbertson, Millie Pollack, Delphia Cook, Delma Thompson and Elmer Barnes.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 18, at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with Pastor Kurt Gremel presiding. The family will receive friends on Monday from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
