John E. Bath, Jr., 84 of Tipton died Monday, September 1, 2014 at his residence. He was born March 19, 1930 in Tipton to John E. "Ed" Bath, Sr. & Lucy (Stitt) Bath. He married Joan Stroup on November 10, 1954 and she survives.
John was a Postal Supervisor, retiring in 1985. He loved gardening, fishing and enjoying nature. John served in the U.S. Army in Korea from 1952-53.
Survivors besides his wife Joan include one son, John E. Bath III and wife Rebecca, Irvine, California; one daughter, Juliana Hutter and husband Bob, Bayfield, Colorado; four grandchildren, Alexandria Bath, Victoria Bath, Peter Bath and wife Kaite, and Alicia Lovejoy. He was predeceased by two brothers.
Funeral services for John will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 5 at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Christopher Shocklee presiding. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Tipton. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
