Joan H. Cole

Joan H. Cole, 84 of Holly Hill, Florida, died on Saturday, September 17, 2016 in Florida. She was born on June 20, 1932 in Tipton to Dilver L. & Virginia E. (Young) Hoover.

Joan was a 1950 graduate of Tipton High School. She moved to Florida in 1959 and was an active member of Daytona Christian Church where she sang in the choir. She had worked as a teller in several banks as well as the Speedway Welcome Center. She was an active member of several organizations including the Eagles and Red Hat Society. Joan loved dancing, traveling and spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include two sons, Michael Allen Cole and wife Janine, Daytona Beach, Florida and Stephen T. Cole and wife Denise, Las Vegas; two grandchildren, Brian and Michelle and two great-grandchildren, Sarah and Liam; one brother, Keith Hoover, Tipton and one sister, Beverly Hoover, Van Buren, Indiana.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Billie, Phil and Don and three sisters, Judy Hoover, Norma Hoover and Marjorie Day.

Graveside services for Joan will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 24 at Fairview Cemetery in Tipton with Rev. Rex Dunning presiding. Young-Nichols Funeral Home is in charge of the local arrangements.
