Jimmie D. Causey, 78 of Windfall passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at Community Howard Regional Health in Kokomo. He was born in Sikeston, Missouri on January 27, 1947 to Roy & Lillian (Finney) Causey. Jimmie first married Constance Bennett. He then married Joyce “Jody” Walker on August 25, 1995 and she survives.
Jimmie retired from Chrysler Corporation in Kokomo in 2004 as a pipefitter. He graduated from Windfall High School in 1965. He later spent three years at Ivy Tech learning what he needed to work in skilled trades. Jimmie’s favorite activities were playing pool, poker and singing karaoke. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War, service that was very important to him and his family.
He loved cats, but would tell you he didn’t like them. Many stray cats were cared for by Jimmie throughout his life. We think he really did love cats!
Survivors include his mother, Lillian Causey; his wife Jody Causey; five children, James R Causey, Windfall, Farrah Causey,Windfall, Ralph L Davis and his wife Julie, New Smyrna, Florida, Kimberly Dawn Davis, Tipton and James G. Krise, Windfall.
He is also survived by his siblings, Judy McCain and her husband George, Tipton, Lawrence Causey and his wife Debbie, Windfall and Michael Causey and his wife Marcia, Windfall; one sister-in-law, Debbie Causey, Russiaville.
His grandchildren are Kaleb and Nicole Causey, Seth and Jackie Lee, Michael, Jeffrey and Crystal Duke, Victor and Larry Osborn, Tishelle Browning, Jamie and Stephanie Zona and Billy and Lindsey Brooks.
Great-grandchildren are Hazel and Harmony Rodriguez, Gabriella and Jeffrey Duke, Jr., Daniel Osborne, Jimmie Rodrigeuz, Jordyn and Jalen Browning, Seraphena and Nolan Zona and Greyson Brooks and Samuel and Atreus Lee. Jimmie also had one great-great-grandson, Hayden Browning.
Jimmie was preceded in death by his father, one daughter, Rochelle Causey, two grandchildren, Michael Causey and Jeffrey Duke.
He was also preceded in death by one brother, Gary Causey who died last week.
Funeral services for Jimmie will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 15 at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with Pastor Kenn Freeland presiding and military honors provided by the Tipton American Legion and the U.S. Air Force. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
