Jerry F. Parson, 49 of Warsaw died Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at his residence. He was born May 18, 1963 in Tipton to Robert K. & Sybil (Barnes) Parson.
Jerry worked as a CNC-Class A machinist for Biomet in Warsaw making replacement hips and knees. He twice had been sent to China to teach them how to make these parts. Jerry enjoyed hunting, fishing, being with family and friends and especially riding his Harley. He will be missed by his dog, Keno.
Jerry is survived by one daughter, Amanda Parson, Indianapolis, who cared for him during his fight with leukemia; his mother Sybil of Kokomo; one brother, Kenneth Parson and wife Jessica, Sharpsville; two sisters, Sherry Melton and husband J.D., Caulfield, Missouri, Sandra Gaiser and husband Mark, Sharpsville; two grandchildren, Elijah Parson and Desiree Suver; his grandmother, Pauline Barnes, Tipton and a special nephew, Kenny Parson, Jr.. He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, James Beard.
Jerry's funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 20 at Young-Nichols Funeral Home, Tipton, with Pastor Bill Salsbery presiding. Burial will follow in Sharpsville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
