Jerome "Jerry" Funke

Jerome "Jerry" FunkeJerome "Jerry" Funke, 65 of Zionsville and formerly of Tipton died at 1:50 p.m. on Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at  Zionsville Meadows.  He was born in Elwood on March 10, 1950 to John C. and Eva R. (Johannes) Funke.  He married Susan E. Means on August 23, 1973 and she survives.Jerry had worked at Perfect Circle and also at Kokomo Grain.  He was a 1968 graduate of Tipton High School and a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.He is survived by his wife, Susan; siblings Elizabeth J. Ortman of Kokomo, Mary L. Scheidler Brauer of Greenwood, John R. Funke and wife Barbara of Tipton, and Patricia A. and husband Norbert Tebbe of Tipton; a brother-in-law Marc Means and a sister-in-law Lyn Means; long with several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Theodore J. and Donald J. FunkeHis funeral mass will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 13 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Tipton with Rev. Dennis Goth presiding.  Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery in Tipton.  Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at Young-Nichols Funeral Home with a Wake and Rosary service at 7:00 p.m.In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 5635 West 96th Street, Suite 100, Indianapolis, Indiana, 46278 or St. John's Building Fund, 335 Mill Street, Tipton, Indiana, 46072.
