James W. Kelley

James W. KelleyJames W. Kelley, 91 of Tipton died at 10:32 p.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at I.U. Tipton Hospital.  He was born in Tipton on May 6, 1924 to Scott and Elsie (Kritsch) Kelley.  James married Jean Smith on January 13, 1944.James graduated from Tipton High School in 1942.  He then worked for Delco Remy in Anderson where he retired in his later years.  He was an avid golfer, enjoyed working in his yard and was a skilled wood worker, making many items for his family.  James served in the Army during W.W.II.He is survived by his wife Jean, two sons, William A. Kelley of Union, Michigan and Michael D. Kelley of Indianapolis.  He has four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.Graveside funeral services with military honors will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 7, at Fairview Cemetery in Tipton with Rev. Jack Masters presiding.  No visitation is planned.Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 8604 Allisonville Road, Suite 140, Indianapolis,  Indiana, 46250.  Young-Nichols Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
