Herbert L. "Herbie" Off, Jr.Herbert L. "Herbie" Off, Jr., 71, Tipton, died Wednesday, September 30, 2009 in Tipton County in a farming accident.  He was born July 6, 1938 in Tipton County to Herbert and Goldie (Retherford) Off.  On November 5, 1960 he married Marita Koors and she survives.Herbie retired from Chrysler after 35 years and was a farmer.  He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and Mid-America Antique Threshing Club.Survivors besides his wife include two sons, Gary Off and wife Donna, Sharpsville, Larry Off and wife Melinda, Colchester, IL; three grandchildren, Alisha Barker and husband Nathan, Rebecca and Jacob Off; one great grandson, Chase Barker; two brothers, Joe Off and George Off of Tipton.He was preceded in death by one grandson Tony and one brother Jim.His funeral will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 5 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Tipton, with Rev. Leroy Kinnaman presiding.  Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Tipton.  Visitation will be from 2:00 - 7:00 p.m. Sunday at Young-Nichols Funeral Home where the family and friends will recite the rosary beginning at 1:45.Memorial contributions may be made to: Riley Hospital for Children 702 Barnhill Drive, Room ROC 4340, Indianapolis, IN 46202.  Please indicate in the memo: Off Family, Hem/Onc.
